Exploring Anti-Racist and Social Activist Reading Groups in Libraries and Archives
14 June: 2-4 pm
Do you work in a Library or Archive and run or take part in an anti-racist or other social activist reading group? Or perhaps you are interested in starting a reading group like this? Join us for a discussion of anti racist and activist reading group activity.
We have a range of speakers from public, special and higher education libraries who are going to share their experiences of being involved in reading groups which focus on social activist practice and education, including anti-racism. We will share lessons learned and provide helpful tips about how to establish and maintain a reading group, or how to go about joining one.
This event is organised by CILIP Cymru Wales, in collaboration with Cardiff University Special Collections and Archives and the University of Salford Library.
