The Records Assistant role supports our Records Management team in managing Kew’s paper and electronic records, primarily focusing on paper records maintained in Kew’s central records Registry system. The Records Assistant creates new registered files as requested, adds new papers to existing files and oversees the closure of inactive files.
Additionally, the role provides key information services to staff - researching and answering a wide range of enquiries about access to and information from paper records. You will also assist the Records Manager in answering enquiries from staff about managing electronic records as we work to implement our SharePoint Electronic Document and Records Management system (EDRMS) across Kew.
This role is based at Kew with the option of regular home working for 1 day per week, subject to operational requirements.
Salary: £24,252 per annum pro-rata
Contract: Fixed term to June 2024
