Hi all,
I recently posted a query here asking people to give their experiences with non-Axiell archival management systems. Several people asked me to share the responses, so here they are, suitably anonymised.
Two users replied with information on Epexio. The main pros seem to be price, that it is specifically an archives system, that there is an existing user community, and that the company are very responsive.
A user replied with information on QI. Its pros are ability to link to open data (e.g. Getty, LCSH), some nice enhancements such as the ability to map your data, and ability of users to do a lot of customisation work in-house.
I also received information on Soutron Archive, a US system that appears very flexible and customisable and has some interesting interfaces with social media and search engines.
I hope this helps people who, like me, are entering the market for a new system to manage their collections.
