Dear Colleagues,
We’re pleased to announce that the 2023 Rare Books and Special Collections Group conference will take place 4-6 September.
This year, our conference will take place online. We hope this allows as many people as possible to attend and we look forward to colleagues from around the world joining us.
The title of our conference is Old Hands, New Ideas and we are inviting anyone who would like to be considered as speaker to submit a short proposal (400 words maximum). Possible topics might include, but are not restricted to, the following:
- Transcription projects
- Provenance research
- Teaching palaeography
- New research based on palaeographical analysis
- Imaging lost text
- Collaborative projects to catalogue, analyse, promote texts
Where possible, presentations should suit an online audience and should last for approximately 20 minutes. Proposals for shorter or longer presentations will be considered but should be discussed in advance with the conference coordinator.
Proposals should be sent to Richard Wragg, conference coordinator, at [log in to unmask], deadline: 19 May 2023.
With all best wishes, Rich
