The Essex Record Office has a new vacancy for an archivist on a full-time basis for a fixed term of twelve months.
This is a superb opportunity for a talented archivist to join a professional and supportive team at the Essex Record Office in Chelmsford. The role will deliver professional archival description services, addressing the Record Office’s accessioning and cataloguing backlogs, prioritising and appraising record sequences, and supervising cataloguing volunteers. There will be opportunities for contributing to the Record Office’s blog and social media, as well as occasional site visits and surveying of records for deposit.
