I would like to invite you to the launch of our new book, Britain in fragments: Why things are falling apart (Manchester University Press). The launch will take place at Blackwell's Manchester on Wednesday the 12th of April from 6:30pm. Jenny Hewitt (University of Manchester) will discuss the book with the co-authors, Brendan McGeever (Senior Lecturer in Sociology at Birkbeck, University of London) and Satnam Virdee (Professor of Sociology at the University of Glasgow).

Their new book analyses how government failures and a rise in nationalism has contributed to a rapidly fragmenting society.

Join us for free refreshments and a discussion of the book with the authors, with time for audience questions.
