Following on from the successful Evolution of Story II online symposium in 2022 an application for a Special Issue was made to the Journal of Media Practice and Education which was accepted and we are working towards a 2024 publication date. The special issues will be titled:
"Unravelling the Hero’s Journey - new narrative paradigms for story, semantics & the psychology of experience"
We currently have 9 papers going through a peer review process and all of these have already been through one round of peer review. We are now seeking to initiate a final 'blind' peer review to conclude the process of selecting and shaping the special issue.
We need peer reviewers to contribute to that process and are issuing an open call for anyone who would like to be part of the process and who can peer review 2-3 papers (or more). It is anticipated that this final round of peer review will be undertaken June-September 2023. Training and mentoring will be provided for those new to peer review so it may suit early career researchers as well as experienced academics.
