We are pleased to have a permanent position available in the Bioimaging core facility at the John Innes Centre (Norwich, UK).

The successful candidate will be a research technical specialist and most of the time will be spent training and advising others as well as looking after the instrumentation. They will be part of a dedicated team who look after a wide variety of light and electron microscopes and use many different imaging techniques, to support the plant and microbial research programmes at the JIC. For cryo-EM we have a Vitrobot and a Talos F200C with newly installed Falcon 4i detector. There will be opportunities to learn other TEM and SEM techniques and develop a broader skill set if desired. Working in a core facility can be very rewarding, as you train and advise others and become invaluable to the local research community while working on a wide variety of different projects.
