The role is for an early career researcher who is within 5 years of their PhD viva, and has a specialism in contemporary world literatures in English. The deadline is 9th April.
It is a permanent role that starts as a 3-year postdoctoral fellowship (with reduced teaching) with the prospect of a permanent lectureship at the end.

The UWI/UL International Summer School is an annual, week-long intensive programme with an emphasis on both academic and professional development. It is aimed at postgraduate students and early career researchers from the Caribbean and the UK with an interest in global studies and a background in any discipline across the arts, humanities and social sciences, and we encourage applicants with a diverse range of interests.
The Summer School was first launched at University of Leicester in 2019. It then ran in online form in 2021, and in 2022 it took place at the University of the West Indies, Mona Campus, Jamaica. The next summer school will take place at the University of Leicester, from 5 to 10 June 2023, and this year's theme is 'Crime, (In)Justice, Human Rights'. The organisers have compiled an exciting and varied cross-disciplinary programme which includes seminars and lectures on topics such as crime and culture, histories and legacies, security, surveillance, the police and the state, human rights, gender and sexualities, reproductive rights, the environment and race.
