We are currently seeking to appoint an External Examiner for the Foundation Performing Arts course at University of East London. The post is for a September 2023 start, for 4 years.
We are looking for a practitioner with experience and interest in Level 3 who can work with a dedicated team to assist with the quality assurance of this programme.
Situated in the heart of Stratford, East London, the course has developed strong links with the local community and connects with the vibrant performing arts cultures and industries that are located in this dynamic area of London.
The Foundation course is a year-long course comprising six distinct modules covering all aspects of the performing arts, aiming to provide students with the necessary skills to equip them for their chosen degree pathway. Students choose from the BA (Hons) Acting for Stage and Screen, BA(Hons) Dance: Urban Practice, BA (Hons) Drama Applied Theatre and Performance, or BA (Hons) Performing arts.
The aims of the course are designed with our students in mind. The themes, content, and practitioners studied reflect the diversity of our students and great attention is paid to ensure we offer an inclusive and forward-thinking curriculum.
External examiners are expected to attend the programme assessment boards, use remote access to assessment materials and submit an annual report. Fees are determined by the number of modules you are assigned and a retainer.
Please email expressions of interest and an academic curriculum vitae to the programme leader: [log in to unmask] by April 28th, 2023.
