Good morning David,
We've made our own stainless steel filter 1.33 Cu conflat fittings before (since that product didn't exist at the time and as far as I can tell, still doesn't). VCR gaskets are similar in principle so it should work the same.
We purchased our own sintered stainless steel mesh material from a vendor and had our machine shop punch out and press them into the CF gaskets.

The above vendor allows you to buy surplus stock, since the companies who manufacture these products are filling large industrial orders with significant minimums. I checked briefly and they have a lot of 2 micron sizes in stock. You will probably still need to do some machining on your end, but at least they're all stock items.
Good luck!
