Dear scholars and readers,
We are happy to share a new publication in Open Access:
New Perspectives on Imagology (www.brill.com/display/title/58016)
With this volume, the editors Katharina Edtstadler, Sandra Folie, and Gianna Zocco propose an extension of the traditional conception of imagology as a theory and method for studying the cultural construction and literary representation of national, usually European characters.
As part of Brill’s Studia Imagologica (www.brill.com/IMAG) series, it focuses on the study of images in the literary discourse and includes perspectives from Comparative Literature and Cultural Studies. Stereotypes and prejudices about our own and others' national characters; attitudes which govern our rhetoric; discursive representation; and more perspectives are taken into consideration.
Would you like to contribute with your own perspective?
Authors are warmly invited to submit their book proposals, article proposals and more to the Senior Acquisitions Editor at Brill, Masja Horn ([log in to unmask]).
