We are looking for a with expertise in non-invasive brain stimulation and neuroimaging at ‘Forschungsgesellschaft für Arbeitsphysiologie und Arbeitsschutz e.V. Dortmund’ (IfADo). It is a research institution institutionally funded by the German Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and the State of North Rhine-Westphalia.
Your duties
• Develop, optimize, and implement state-of-the-art multimodal (f)MRI approaches, including
simultaneous tES/fMRI, tES/MRS, TMS/fMRI, TMS/MRS and EEG/fMRI recordings as well as
cognitive (f)MRI experiments, together with the leader of the research group
• Develop and implement data analysis and modeling pipelines for the multimodal (f)MRI
approaches mentioned above
• Support the research group with organizational tasks (e.g. schedule and supervise human
brain research projects at a 3T-MRI scanner)
Your qualifications
• Completed PhD in the field of engineering or cognitive neuroscience
• Proven expertise with respect to set-up, conduction, and analysis of experimental brain
stimulation studies in humans
• Proven expertise with respect to programming of data acquisition and analysis pipelines
• Expertise in EEG and/or (f)MRI recordings would be advantageous
• A publication track record and experience with external funding acquisition would be
advantageous
• Organizational skills, Team player, flexibility, high motivation
• Ability to work independently, high interest in keeping up with innovations as well as
contributing and developing own ideas and excellent English skills
Our offer
• You will be given a full-time (39.83 h per week) position, initially available for 3 years. However, it is highly desired to extend this position in order to create a long-lasting working relationship beneficial for both sides. You will contribute to research projects established at IfADo, but are also encouraged to develop your own research agenda which will be pursued in a supportive environment that will provide you with expertise, infrastructure, and resources.
• Remuneration according to the collective agreement for the public service (position EG 13 TV-L. The classification depends on the collective agreement and personal requirements)
