CALL FOR SPECIAL ISSUE PROPOSALS
The Journal of Social Policy & Administration invite proposals for a special issue to be published as no. 2 in 2025. Please send a proposal to Professor Bent Greve ([log in to unmask]) and Professor Lyle Scruggs ([log in to unmask]) at the latest on the 1st of May, 2023. The proposals will be judged according to the following criteria:
1) the scope and novelty of the proposed theme
2) the coherence between the papers
3) editorial experience
The proposal shall include a brief abstracts of all proposed papers, making clear their question and method. Furthermore, who is expected to contribute to the issue.
The editorial board of the journal will decide on its meeting in July 2023 which, if any, of the proposals should be accepted.
The final version of papers included in the special issue, to be published in 2025, will have to be submitted no later than 1st of June, 2024 in order to ensure time for the review and re-writing process. In 2023 the topic is: Education as Social Policy: New Tensions in Maturing Knowledge Economies, and in 2024 Crisis in the Welfare States? The person/s who submit a successful proposal will act as guest editor/s for the special issue. Guest editors will ensure that papers are of high quality, that the issue contains a strong and coherent collection of papers, that they are submitted on time and that appropriate revisions are carried out. The refereeing process remains in the hands of the Social Policy & Administration editors. They will submit the papers for peer-review and ensure that the overall collection and the individual papers meet the normal quality standards of the journal. Papers will only be accepted if there is a positive peer review.
