Hello all,
I'm writing from Gladstone's Library in North Wales. Based in a 120-year-old Grade I listed building, this is a purpose-built Victorian residential library with 26 bedrooms and three silent Reading Rooms.
The Library, which is a registered charity, is currently running a 30% discount for people who stay before February 28th.
Students benefit from a separate, set 40% discount (with valid student ID).
The Library also has conferencing services and in-house dining, and caters for academic groups, thesis bootcamps, author meets, conferences, classes and symposiums, writing retreats and similar. Group discounts and packages are available.
People staying at the Library have full access to the Reading Rooms and their collections, including extensive archival collections*.
You can book independently via www.galdstoneslibrary.org. Call 01244 532 350 or email [log in to unmask] for group bookings/conferencing/room hire/catering.
*(please request special collections items and archival materials three weeks ahead of time via [log in to unmask] The catalogue can be found on the left hand side of the gladstoneslibrary.org front page)
