Hello all!
I'm a Senior UX designer at the Natural History Museum and I'm in the midst of planning some digital outreach activities for next year (by which I mostly mean hackathons and jams and the occasional Design Justice meetup). One of the things I've always wanted to do is co-host a service design jam (http://globaljams.org/) as from experience when I worked with a community centred service design lab up in Birmingham, these are great ways of engaging not only visitors and the wider public, but also fellow designers and makers.
If anyone - designer, developer, architect etc. - might like to join in or hear more about it, do let me know and I can set up a group email/slack/discord group or something. Please do feel free to connect with me on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/florence-okoye-95156849/
Would be especially great to connect with any digital colleagues here from the Science Museum, Royal Geographical Society, Royal Society of Sculpture etc., for further chats on this. More generally it would just be nice to connect and catch up with other people working in similar areas from 'nearby' (as so many of us are technically working remote!) institutions. I'm always up for a chinwag over coffee 😃
Best,
Florence
