Dear Colleagues,
please take note of the following opportunity for international students to do a PhD in multimodal neuroimaging research in Parkinson’s disease in our Movement Disorders Group at the Institute of Biomedicine of Seville (IBiS) in sunny southern Spain:
https://finder-fellowships.lacaixafoundation.org/finder?position=6248
The principal focus of the position will be to study multimodal neuroimaging data of diverse structural, functional, and molecular brain changes in relation to domain-specific cognitive decline and development of dementia in PD. This data will be integrated with genetic and fluid biomarker data to gain a better understanding of the different pathophysiologic processes implicated in the heterogeneous trajectories of cognitive decline in PD, with the ultimate goal of developing novel, clinically useful tools for a more accurate personalized risk prognosis based on an individual patient’s pathophysiologic profile.
The Call for ”la Caixa” Foundation Doctoral INPhINIT Fellowships – Incoming provides funding for 35 PhD fellowships for early-stage researchers of any nationality to pursue their PhD studies in accredited research centres of excellence in Spain and Portugal.
