LONGER COURSES AND MENTORING PROGRAMMES - For details see our website at https://www.poetrykit.org/pkcourse/pkcourses.htm
POET’S MENTORING - Our most popular course is the longer mentoring programme. This lasts from 3 to 6 months depending on response times from the participant. All mentoring is with Jim Bennett and is individually designed to meet the needs of the participant. The cost of this is £110 but places are limited.
WRITER’S MENTORING PROGRAMME - This is one to one mentoring. In each session there are challenges, exercises or projects to complete. Ideas are discussed and foundations for poems developed with assistance and feedback, working through drafts to completed poems. This is a mentoring experience that will work with strengths and identify weaknesses in writing style, all content chosen to meet the needs of the writer. The mentoring is over a period of 10 sessions, at the end of that you should have portfolio of writing is are being worked through. The purpose of this programme is to offer individual mentoring and the time taken will depend on the speed of the student. Places are very limited. The course fee is £140 (UK£)

The Poetry of Bob Dylan
Exploring the lyrics and poetry of Bob Dylan.
We will be looking at examples of his writing from periods throughout his career and examining how he uses words to shape the environment of the song. Dylan regularly broke the rules of lyrical writing and in doing so created a body of work that rewards exploration with techniques and possibilities.
