The MARTS list is now retained (closed).

A retained list means that mailing list functionality has been disabled: the list is not accepting new subscribers, messages cannot be posted, and the list configuration is locked. 

Existing subscribers may continue to access the list archives, we know that some people may find value in them: visit www.jiscmail.ac.uk/MARTS (login may be required). After 3 months JiscMail will permanently delete the MARTS list including archives and subscribers.
