A lecturer where I am found that by searching PubMed from within EndNote Online - Collect, Online search - the references found and imported actually abbreviate the journal titles as required by the Vancouver style.
The abbreviations then transfer across to Word docs when the same references are added via Cite While You Write.
This way of searching PubMed of course has limits: the search boxes are only basic, and the connection may not always work. Interesting observation however, and could be useful.
