This is the First call for papers for the 18th European Conference on Innovation and Entrepreneurship (ECIE 2023) being hosted by Universidade Portucalense, Porto, Portugal on 21-22 September 2023. We are delighted to have Fernando Moreira and Shital Jayantilal, both from the university, as the Conference Chairs. 

The call for papers will close on 1st March 2023.

The European Conference on Innovation and Entrepreneurship provides an international opportunity for scientific discussion and collaboration on a broad range of topics associated with recent trends in innovation and entrepreneurship. There is a growing recognition in business environments of the key role played by innovation and entrepreneurship. In the uncertain global economic climate that we are currently experiencing, the capacity and necessary attitude for creating new business is fundamental and the probability of success is largely determined by innovative and entrepreneurial thinking. At the same time there is a growing recognition of the need for more sustainable innovation, combining economic, ecological and social aspects.

Academic research, case studies and work-in-progress/posters are welcomed approaches. PhD Research, proposals for roundtable discussions, non-academic contributions and product demonstrations based on the main themes are also invited.

Papers accepted for the conference will be published in the conference proceedings, subject to author registration and payment. The proceedings are published with an ISBN and ISSN and are indexed by a number of accreditation bodies, including Scopus and Thompson ISI WoS. Papers that have been presented at the conference will also be considered for revision and publication by a number of journals.
 
ECIE 2023 will also host the final rounds of the 9th Innovation & Entrepreneurship Teaching Excellence Awards. If you have been involved in teaching Innovation & Entrepreneurship, we invite you to participate in the competition to showcase new ideas and new approaches in higher education institutions and in the organisational environment.
