Hi,
I run a refinement of a C1 (possibly C2) particle of about 200 A
size in a 300 x 300 px box at about 1 A / px . There are about 170,000
particles. I use the following command:
`which relion_refine_mpi` --continue
Refine3D/job001/run_it002_optimiser.star --o Refine3D/job001/run
--dont_combine_weights_via_disc --pool 3 --pad 2 --auto_ignore_angles
--auto_resol_angles --particle_diameter 220 --solvent_mask mask.mrc
--solvent_correct_fsc --j 2 --gpu "" --pipeline_control Refine3D/job001/
on an 8 core CPU machine with 2 GTX 1070. The data are on an SSD. I am
now at iteration 3, which is projected to take more than 30 hrs. The
same data set running on a 4 core 2 GPU machine as well with 2 GPUs as
C2 is projected to need 60 hrs to complete iteration 4. The previous
iterations were similarly slow.
Is this normal? Is there any wrong parameter? Is there a way of speeding up?
Thank you very much for hints, best Dieter
