Dear Colleague,
The Section of Spatial Planning and Strategy at TU Delft is organising a new online workshop that might be interesting for you and your students.
Now in its third edition, the workshop 'Manifesto for the Just City' is a digital lecture and debate series composed of four online sessions with leading academics and practitioners in the fields of urban theory, urban planning, and spatial justice.
Upon participating in the online series, students are invited to draft a manifesto for the Just City, expressing their vision for a city that’s sustainable, fair, and inclusive for all. This is a big collective visioning exercise and can be used as a class exercise in planning and design courses.
Manifestos are typically published in a book and students delivering a manifesto receive a certificate from TU Delft.
This activity is organised by Delft University of Technology, IHS Erasmus University of Rotterdam, the University of Illinois, the Winston-Salem State University, Morgan State University (US), The Cape Peninsula University of Technology (South Africa) and many more partners. It is supported by Pakhuis de Zwijger, a cultural and political hub and platform in Amsterdam.
Sessions take place on OCTOBER 17, 24 and 31 and NOVEMBER 7 at 19:00 (CET/ Amsterdam Time). To participate, students need to register HERE: https://just-city.org/manifesto-for-the-just-city/
