We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher to join an ongoing project on Computational Cognitive Neuroscience of frontal lobe functions at the University of the Balearic Islands (Mallorca, Spain). Topics of interest include -but are not limited to- modelling of Bayesian surprise, MVPA and DCM analyses of effective connectivity in large behavioural and EEG/ERP datasets. The position is for two years, with a gross yearly salary ranging from 32.000 € to 38.000 € depending on background and experience.
The project is inspired by the active (Bayesian) inference framework, and aims to address some paradoxes in the literature by re-examining frontal and non-frontal scalp-recorded cortical responses in terms of prediction errors. The primary supervisor will be Francisco Barceló, with possible access to resources and advise from international collaborators at UC Berkeley (Robert T Knight), Cambridge (John Duncan), Amsterdam (E.J. Wagenmakers), and University College London (Karl Friston).
Interested candidates should email an updated CV and a short research statement to Francisco Barceló ( [log in to unmask] ). They should also ask two referees to send a letter of reference on their behalf. See full job posting here: [log in to unmask]" target="_blank">https:[log in to unmask]
The deadline for applications is November 30th, or until the position is filled.
