I hope you all having a good summer. I certainly can't believe where the time has gone and this is now mid-August....



Anyway this is just to say that the planned joined meeting is going ahead with the North of England Peers support network on the 24th August (next Wed) 1:30-3:00 with the optional 30mins networking session from 3:00 until 3:30. Ruth from the North of England Peers support network is setting up the MS Teams link etc so can you please let me know if you are going to attend and I will pass details onto Ruth so she can add you to the meeting invite. I will send this through to Ruth next Wed morning so please let me know for 9:00 on the 24th so we can ensure you are added in time for the meeting.



On the day, we are keeping the agenda very informal with a very rough plan of discussions around:-

1. Successes from last year

2. Challenges from last year

3. Plans for the future



As per usual it would be useful in terms of introductions if you can come along with something to cut and paste into the chat as an introduction. Something like who you are, Institution, role and one question would like to ask?



We are hoping this will be a great opportunity for the two networks to share experiences etc.

Hi everyone,

Great to see some of you at the March meeting and I hope you found it useful - as always I left with a real buzz when I hear what great things folks have been up to or are planning.



At a previous meeting we discussed the possibility of having an external speaker or having another Peer Support group join us for a meeting. I am delighted to say that yesterday I had a chat with Ruth Lefever from the University of Bradford who kind of leds the North of England Peers support network and we have agreed to do a joint meeting with the 2 groups in August. We will work out the details nearer the time but this will be a great opportunity for sharing and discussions with others beyond Scotland working in this area. They have folks working both in all areas of peer support so I am hoping there will be loads for us all to chat about. At this stage please save the date - 24th August 1:30-3:00 (with the usual 30mins from 3:00 at the end for more informal chat); Ruth is circulating to her group. It will be via MS Teams again as the virtual world makes this so much easier to do.
