I like to write some Python code that can produce .mdoc files appropriate to accompany existing tilt series (movies, and non movies) collected prior to the availability of .mdoc files. The information on the tilt series is available, but currently scattered over (paper) notebooks and an Excel sheet. The overall idea is that with appropriate .mdoc files available, the processing steps of these older sets will be easier and more flexible. I imagine that some of you have written/used pieces of Python code to write out .mdoc files often. I hope that you can point me to a piece code in one of the packages that does something along these line so that I can adapt this.
