Dear all,
I have a question regarding concatenation of two highly similar experiments ("Experiment 1" and "Experiment 2") of event-related design. Both experiments consist of 8 sessions of ~20 trials each, with the 20 trials comprising 5 different types of tasks (conditions). Across experiments, the corresponding sessions have identical tasks/timing (i.e. the 20 trials in Experiment 1- Session 1 are the same order/timing as the 20 trials in Experiment 2 - Session 1, and same for sessions 2-8).
My question is: if I would like to concatenate these experiments, what would be the most prudent way of doing so in SPM? Would this concatenation occur when designing the 1st level analysis/timings, or could it be done during 2nd level analysis?
I found the SPM concatenation wiki page (https://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/SPM/Concatenation), but I was hoping for more feedback related directly to this design.
Thanks in advance for your help and let me know if any more information would be helpful.
Best,
Phil
