Dear colleagues,
I was recently asked to prepare a short review essay on the geographies/politics of representation of the Arab world, Persia and Turkey, with a particular interest in critical scholarship, activism, and creative practice. While I have several places I plan to begin my literature review (keyword searches in academic journals, websites like Jadaliyya and Ajam Media Collective, skimming recent university presses, etc.), I would welcome your suggestions. If your work (or the work of a friend/colleague) connects to this topic, I would be very grateful for your recommendations.
I will plan to compile the bibliography and recirculate it via Crit-Geog later this fall for anyone interested.
Please feel free to contact me directly at my university email (twhammon AT syr.edu) or by replying to this thread.
Thank you in advance for your contributions.
Best wishes,
Timur Hammond
