Dear all,

JOB DESCRIPTION
Lille Neuroscience & Cognition center (lilncog.eu) has an opportunity to recruit a postdoctoral fellow to work on a project involving multimodal brain imaging (MRI, fMRI, PET) in early-onset Alzheimer patients. The team “Degenerative and vascular cognitive disorders”, made up of clinical and pre-clinical researchers, is multidisciplinary. It is located at the interface between neurology, pharmacology and imaging.
The fellow will be working on the identification of early-onset Alzheimer phenotypes based on imaging features (metabolism, brain connectivity, morphometry) and their heterogeneity. The phenotypes could be correlated to clinical and biological data. The fellow will have access to cohort of patients with a 5-year follow-up.
The fellow will be based in the MRI Department at Lille University Hospital (France) and will be co-supervised by Renaud Lopes (PhD) and Gregory Kuchcinski (MD, PhD).

REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS
Ph.D. degree (or close to completion) in neuroscience, biomedical engineering, health sciences, or a related field (e.g.,electrical engineering, psychology, biology, ...), excellent organizational skills, autonomy and ability to work in team, good writing skills and established publication record. Experience in one or more aspects of the research themes, particularly in neuroimaging and/or neurological diseases, is an asset.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES
Candidates should be enthusiastic about working in an interdisciplinary environment. Written and oral English communication skills are expected. Candidates would be familiar with programming languages such as Python and bash, linux-based operating systems and biomedical image format (DICOM, BIDS) as well as biomedical image processing. Some experience with brain imaging or cloud computing are welcome, although the candidate shall develop corresponding skills during the project.

APPLICATION
Interested candidates should send a one page statement of career goals and research interests and full CV to Renaud Lopes ([log in to unmask]). Review of applications will begin as they are received and will continue until the position has been filled. Start date is September 2022. Only those candidates selected to interview will be contacted.
Salary will be determined according to the level of training and past experiences. This appointment will be renewable on a yearly basis, contingent on satisfactory performance.

Best,
Renaud Lopes
