ECM Spring Conference
Saturday 21st May 2022
Online Via Zoom
#IMAECMSpring2022
https://ima.org.uk/19085/ecm-spring-conference-2022/

The conference will interest mathematicians early in their career, in academia and industry, students of mathematical sciences, as well as those with an interest in the subject. It will feature plenary talks from distinguished speakers covering a wide range of subjects, as well as activities to allow for interaction among the attendees and speakers.

This is a perfect opportunity to learn about fascinating areas of mathematics (and their applications) from people that work on them, whilst also providing you the chance to become more involved with a professional body of mathematics. There will be plenty of time to network during the conference at our Virtual Coffee Breaks, allowing you the opportunity to meet people with similar interests and find out more about the wide range of careers that are available.

Invited Speakers and Talk Titles

Programme
1.15 - 2pm talk: Rachel McCrea: Interdisciplinary research: building an academic career with impact

2 - 2.45pm talk: Arianna Salili-James: Shape Analysis, Imaging, and Machine Learning: from Monitoring Endangered Species, to Digitising Insect Collections

3 - 3.45pm talk: Rosanna Barnard: Early career reflections: mathematical modelling in the COVID-19 era
