Arts and Communities: Postgraduate Symposium for Creative Practice Research
by Creative Practice Research Academy
Thursday 28th April & Friday 29th April 2022
An international post graduate symposium for creative practice research.
This international symposium will explore the multi-faceted relationships between arts and communities, through a two day programme of presentations and performances by postgraduate and recently awarded doctoral research students.
It is organised by the Creative Practice Research Academy (CPRA), at the University of Central Lancashire, which is home to a diverse community of creative practice researchers, within the fields of fine art, music, dance, screen media, performance, design and creative writing, amongst others.
This symposium has been designed to provide opportunities for post graduate students and other researchers to share their creative practice research and create new academic networks. As well as presentations and discussions, the event will also include opportunities to socialise, including an 'open mic evening', which attendees are invited to perform at if they wish, with music by Worldwise Samba Drummers.
