Dear all,
I'm looking to recruit a postdoc in time-to-event / reliability modelling. Note that a background in these areas is desirable but not essential. Full details - and the application portal - can be found by searching for the job reference 050808 on https://www.ul.ie/hrvacancies, and the deadline is Thursday 21st April 2022 at 12 noon.
The successful candidate will be based the Mathematics Applications Consortium for Science and Industry (MACSI), at the University of Limerick, which is Ireland’s largest applied and industrial mathematics group (https://ulsites.ul.ie/macsi/). The position will be funded by the Science Foundation Ireland Research Centre in smart manufacturing, Confirm (https://confirm.ie/), which comprises 9 academic partners and over 40 industrial partners.
The project will contribute to Confirm's fundamental research programme in the development of novel reliability models to provide new insights into lifetimes/process durations and underlying failure mechanisms. This broad remit provides significant flexibility to carry out research in different areas, which is particularly appealing.
I would be very happy to answer any queries. Contact me directly at [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>.
