In summary: the deadline for submissions to IDCC22 is one week away;
registration for the conference is now open.
In detail:
The deadline for submissions to IDCC22, the 17th International Digital Curation
Conference, is now just one week away. Submissions close on March 8th. Our theme
this year is reusability, including topics such as:
- What does curating for reuse mean when considering collections of software,
workflows, virtual worlds and other types of content?
- Relationships between Open Data, Citizen Science, Scholarship and Digital
Curation as enabler of societal engagement in science, arts and humanities.
- Balancing reusability between wide and narrow audiences - techniques, costs,
workflows
- Reuse strategies for environmental sustainability in digital curation.
More suggested topics and further details on the submission process are
available on our website: https://www.dcc.ac.uk/events/idcc22/call-for-papers
Submissions can take the form of papers (abstracts only required at this stage),
lightning talks, posters or workshops. Accepted papers will be eligible for
publication in the International Journal of Digital Curation, a no-fee
open-access journal.
IDCC will take place from 13-16 June 2022, and will be a wholly virtual event
again this year. Registration is now open, and for the first time we are
offering a significantly reduced rate for participants from Low and Middle
Income Countries. Early bird rates are available until 13th May. More details on
our registration page: https://www.dcc.ac.uk/events/idcc22/registration
IDCC is organised by the Digital Curation Centre (DCC) with the ongoing support
of the Coalition for Network Information (CNI). Tag us on social media as #IDCC22.
