FYI
Welcome to a panel discussion about the potential of combining science, law and activism in the pursuit of climate action in Sweden.
In the context of recent advancements in climate attribution, the proliferation of climate litigation and the growing relevance of social mobilizations around the climate, each is critically important to advance ideas and actions for addressing climate change, yet combined and through enhanced coordination they could influence the climate politics arena in new and transdisciplinary ways.
The central questions we aim to tackle are: Which kind of synergies between climate scientists, law practitioners and activists could be pursued to advance climate action in Sweden? How?
Our three guests – involved practically and conceptually in these debates – will share their perspectives:
Sarah Mead, Urgenda
Jonas Ebbesson, Stockholm University
Rupert Stuart-Smith, University of Oxford
Following their interventions, we will open the floor to a discussion and take questions from the audience.
