Hello again and apologies for cross-posting!
As you might have seen, the Digital Learning Network (DLNET)<http://digitallearningnetwork.net/> runs a regular Twitter live chat, and it is back again on Friday 4 February, at 1.00pm; see the hashtag #DLNETChat<https://twitter.com/search?f=tweets&vertical=default&q=%23DLNETChat&src=tyah>.
This month we are having a look at QR Codes - are they back, did they ever go away, and are we in a position to overcome their limitations. So if you have any thoughts on the good, the bad or the ugly when it comes to this established tech, or if you just want to find out more, we'd love you to join us.
We have prepared a few items to get you thinking in advance of Friday...
Twitter thread: https://twitter.com/DLNET/status/1488554696142995465
Poll (in the thread): https://twitter.com/DLNET/status/1488554700794474501
Blog post (mentioned in the thread): https://www.digitallearningnetwork.net/blog/dlnetchat-friday-4-february-2022-the-fall-and-rise-of-the-qr-code/
Please do have a look, and let us know what you think.
During the chat, some of the questions we might ask - although we can't promise to answer any of them:
* How are cultural organisations using QR codes in 2022 (and has it changed from 2012)?
* Are we going to see a resurgence of QR codes in cultural settings?
* What are the limitations of QR codes, and can we get around them?
* What are the alternatives to QR codes, or do we even need this?
* If we do use QR codes, what's the best way to do so?
Please do join us to let us know your thoughts, ask the questions that you want the answers to, or just to see what everyone else is saying - although please remember that we definitely can't promise to know any answers.
Remember to use the hashtag #DLNETChat<https://twitter.com/search?f=tweets&vertical=default&q=%23DLNETChat&src=tyah> and to keep an eye on the @DLNET<https://twitter.com/DLNET> Twitter account for more details...
Also, if anybody has any suggestions of topics or questions for future Twitter live chats, please get in touch...
With best wishes for the season,
Stuart
