Dear colleagues!

It's a year ago since I left my academic work... I remember all too well how challenging it was to stay connected to the body in the cycles of teaching, research, grant-writing and publications... I've found such support in my Qi Gong practice, which provides me with embodied connection to self and the natural world through movement, breath and imagination.

Qi Gong is the art or skill to work with your life force energy. As ancient movement practice from Traditional Chinese Medicine, it helps reduce stress and tension, and increases energy and vitality. It’s a great way to awaken the body in the morning, or winding down at the end of a long day… it can help reduce the risk of injury, or get back on track after an injury occurred. It’s also great for letting go of emotions, increase resilience, and find new inspiration. In short, a very rich practice that I would love to share with you!

I offer weekly ZOOM classes, with videos available afterwards if you can’t join live, and also a themed workshop once every month - the next one is on 21st February on Loving the Body, and will include Techniques for Self Massage, Acupressure, Flow and Meditation. Please see below for all the details!

Accessible for all levels of experience, so it doesn't matter if you haven't done it before.

All classes are recorded, to watch in your own time via Video on Demand if these times aren’t convenient.

Welcoming International Community!

Thursday morning 10-10.30 CET 30 minute class
Specifically for people with chronic health conditions with regular or persistent pain and low energy. I know from experience that it can be hard to self motivate to move, especially when feeling low. These classes take down the barriers of having to go to gym, joining activities that are too strenuous and then dropping out. They cost 8€ each, with discounts if you pay for 4 or 8 classes at a time. Your first class is on me to see if you like it. Here you can view a 30 minute class on flow and the water element: https://vimeo.com/648023322 or email me for your live zoom link this Thursday!

Thursday evening 18-19 CET (i.e. 17-18 UK time) 60 minutes class
These classes are fa great workout for body-heart-mind, working with the physical structure of the body for increased vitality, balance, flexibility, strength and healthy organs, as well as transforming emotions such as fear and anxiety, irritation and anger, heavy sadness, and with mental balance. Your first class is on me; thereafter it’s 11€ for a one-off class, with discounts if you sign up for a series. Here you can view a 60 minute class on breathing and the metal element: https://vimeo.com/572875283 or email me for your live zoom link this Thursday!

Loving Your Body Workshop Monday 21 February, 19-20.30 CET
A delicious treat full of accessible self-care practices. Video available afterward if you can’t make it. This will be divided in clearly labeled sections, so you can always skip to your favourite bit! Special promotion of 21€ this month! https://moveyourqi.space/qi-gong/90-minute-workshops/

What others say:

The sessions were a really good way to ‘end’ the day. They have been a real tonic, and even after a few minutes I feel the benefits. It released tension, specifically from areas affected by being seated and typing. It warmed me up and brought me back to my body and to the environment outside the house. The imagery is beautiful. In the last movement, I said to myself “ooh, I feel like a plant moving in the wind”, and then Eline said “this is called bamboo in the wind”! Lovely (John Habron, Associate Professor in Music, UK).

Eline is able to connect earth and heaven, she is grounded and open to the universe at the same time. She opens a new world, without telling me what I have to do with it. Her style is real and authentic, and she really lives the practice (Heinnie, trainer, consultant and author, the Netherlands).

I would be delighted if you can pass this on to people in your network, whom you know might benefit from some gentle movement inspiration… no matter age or ability.

I wish you a wonderful month and I very much look forward to move with you in our growing international Qi Community!
Warmly,
Eline
