CALL FOR PAPERS
Special Issue on "Blockchain and Decentralized Solutions for Social
Good"
IET Networks
Social good can be perceived as people uniting to create a positive
societal impact. In recent years, the engineering community has seen an
increase in research relating to social good. In terms of technology,
Blockchain, distributed ledger technologies, and decentralized
technologies in general such as IPFS, have had an impact on improving
social good, such as blockchain technologies being applied to improve
e-health and IoT.
The aim of this Special Issue is to address the questions ‘How does
Blockchain impact the social good, and how can decentralization improve
ICT industries?’ This Special issue will debate the concepts and
implications of blockchain technology, how it can be a driver of
innovation and have positive effects on our societies, industry, legal
systems, and economic/financial systems. This Special Issue will provide
both academic and industrial researchers with a forum to discuss the
impact, future, and limitations of blockchain technology regarding its
effect across specific industries, economic, finance, law, etc.
Authors of selected papers presented at BANDIT 2021, GoodIT 2021 and
DICG 2021 will be invited to submit extended versions of their work. The
special issue is also open to unsolicited submissions. Authors can
submit papers that are within the special issue’s aims and scope
directly to the journal’s submission system.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
– Blockchain and decentralized architectures and algorithms
– Protocols for management and access using blockchain
– Consensus and mining algorithms suited for Social Good
– Security and privacy in Blockchains and decentralized platforms
