Dear colleagues,
the*Faculty 4: Computer Science* at the *University in Koblenz* offers a
*permanent university professorship* for *Artificial Intelligence in
Healthcare* (W2 per LBesG) with civil service status, to be appointed at
the next possible date.
The Faculty “Computer Science” has a focus on data intelligence. This
topic complex is researched, taught, and developed from different
perspectives of computer science and its application fields in
cooperation with regional, national and international stakeholders. In
the next years, the Faculty 4: Computer Science aims to expand its
profile towards 'Health Data Intelligence'.
The open professorship position is a core initiative towards this
objective. We expect that the professorship establishes a research
group, substantially gives own ideas and points to establish the profile
expansion ‘Health Data Intelligence‘, and contributes actively with
important impulses in order to develop this profile expansion in the
Faculty 4: Computer Science. We also expect attractive teaching offers
on subjects of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in healthcare in our
existing bachelor and master programs of the faculty. Further
cooperation is expected with other professorships of the faculty in the
context of AI in healthcare and interdisciplinary in overarching profile
lines of the future University of Koblenz – e.g. on digitalization in
the healthcare sector.
