International Conference on Transport and Health

Hybrid in-person and online conference 13-30 June 2022

http://www.tphlink.com/icth-2022--global-infrastructure.html

The nearest in-person location will be Cardiff (plus online for sessions hosted in other locations) but there’s also the option of participating only online.

Do submit your abstracts!

Invited Abstract Categories

The theme for ICTH 2022 is "Looking upstream to identify downstream Social Determinants of Health." Abstracts are invited on the general headings below with sub-headings indicating the specific categories; all within the overarching theme of transport and health. Note that an "Other" category will be included under each main heading. The overall theme is the impact of transport (and urban/rural) planning and design on quality of life, health and well-being in communities.

Transport and Health Behaviour

· Active travel

· Disruptive mobility & cultural shifts

· Methods, performance measures & outcomes

· Public education/public involvement

· Social marketing & other behavioural interventions

· Gender and Transport

Innovative Technologies

· Autonomous/connected vehicle technologies

· Transport Network Companies (TNC); Uber, Lyft and others

· Technologies to assist active travel (i.e., Wayfinding apps, etc.)

· Infrastructure adaptations & technologies

· Electric vehicles (including e-bikes)

· Renewable energies

Transport and Health Impacts

· Road safety danger reduction & injury

· Health/environmental impact assessments

· Air quality

· Noise pollution

· Water Contamination

· Climate change

· Community severance

· Mental health

Urban/Rural Planning

· Complete/healthy streets/governance

· Aging populations

· Disability assisted mobility (paratransit)

· Planning & infrastructure challenges

· Built environment density, distance

· Monitoring & evaluation

· Socio-technical challenge

· City trials, Intervention studies and natural experiments

· Work/school travel plans

· Green/natural space (biodiversity)

· Environment/social justice/inequities

· Transport economics

· Infrastructure for transport beyond the private car (i.e., walking/cycling)

If you do not see a specific transport and health abstract category that your abstract fits, submit it anyway under the "Other" category option. The ICTH Programme Committee will take a look and figure out a way to work your unique research into the programme. The ICTH platform is all about a different way of thinking.

And if you have any suggestions for organisations or people we can ask for sponsorship for the Cardiff event, please let Cahrlie or me know.

Thanks

Jenny

I deal with emails when it is convenient for me to do so; recipients should respond only during working hours unless they prefer to work at other times.

I now work part-time: currently I usually do not work on Mondays, nor Wednesday and Friday afternoons.

I am currently working from home most of the time.
