Hi fMRI experts,
We intend to test the longitudinal differences in the brain functional activity between two groups using an event-related fMRI dataset. We did not really find significant differences in functional activity in a specific brain region related to the experimental stimuli in the two groups. We think the baseline effects from the event related fMRI data might have driven by the functional activity.
Taking this account, we want to regress out the effects of task related BOLD signal variations from the event related fMRI data. So, this will help us to look at whether the continuous baseline effects (rather than the trials) of the BOLD signal are driving the functional activity?
How the continuous baseline activity (like a resting state fMRI data) associated with BOLD signal can be modelled in the design matrix by regressing out the task related effects in the GLM?
Thanks,
Varun
