Dear Muskaan,
if your "reading" session includes baseline epochs, you should use and model these. Otherwise I'm afraid your "reading" session will be some kind of "higher level baseline" without the possibility to differentiate between reading and non-reading activity. Task-based fMRI relies on a frequent change between baseline and task epochs in a consecutive measurement. Even if your resting state and reading data were acquired with the same fMRI protocol, it would be very difficult to analyze data with just one continuous baseline and one activation timeline.
