HI all,
I hope you don't mind me picking your collective minds!
I have a student with a severe visual impairment, attending secondary school. They are an iPad user, and use magnification to access content onscreen.
The school is very supportive, but doesn't have interactive whiteboards in every classroom. For Maths and science subjects in particular, the teachers were using a SmartMarker, the Ebeam, which allowed the student to see the teacher's work on the whiteboard directly on her iPad, as the teacher was working through the content. This worked well, as it was easily moved between classrooms, and the student could see the calculations in real time as they were being carried out, rather than taking a photo at the end.
However, the system is now broken and the company that produced the EBeam are no longer in business.
Does anyone have an idea of an alternative?
Thanks in advance,
Juliann
