With apologies for cross-posting. New Voices in Postcolonial Studies Network warmly invites you to the last NVPoCo monthly seminar series of the semester on Wednesday 15th November 2021. This month we have two amazing speakers Lamiya Sami and Karthik Shankar (Please see the poster attached).
Lamiya is a second year PhD in English at the University of Strathclyde. Her research explores South Asian contemporary Anglophone fiction through the lens of Posthumanism. Her thesis analyses the new onto-epistemological, postanthropocentric turn that challenges human primacy and autonomy traditionally rooted in Cartesian dualism where it seeks to destabilize the boundaries between the human and the nonhuman animal, environment and objects.
Karthik is a writer from Chennai, India. He recently finished his master's in comparative literature at SOAS University of London on a Chevening scholarship.
