Hello All

Two interesting items today

We have funded a small research study into contracts around servitisation, and the researchers are asking for your help in identifying concepts and constructs around contracts by completing a brief on line survey

Details are:

Contracts are an emerging area of interest for DEAS-related research. There is a growing need to better understand the contracts associated with DEAS value propositions. Like the value proposition, contracts must draw together multiple perspectives from different disciplines to successfully deliver this innovative approach. Early implementations of contracts in this setting have raised challenges that need to be better understood in order to be effectively overcome.

We would like to draw on your experience and insight.

Practitioners and Academic partners in the network+ are being asked to take a brief survey to prioritise the importance of the different aspects of contracts in a DEAS setting. The link to the survey is provided below, and should only take between 5-10 minutes to complete.

We would like to know which contract aspects are more important and would benefit from further research and understanding. The results of the survey will be published through the DEAS network in the coming months.

Many thanks.

and here are details of this year's CADE, Venice and Virtual, and the DEAS special session

Returning for its eighth year, CADE will be held between the 13th and 15th June 2022. After one year online due to COVID-19, CADE will return to Venice, Italy in a blended format, allowing participants to attend physically or virtually.

CADE aims to provide opportunities for academics and practitioners to share the latest research and practice on topics related to the research themes of Resilience, Sustainability, Responsibility, and Identity. Participants will be able to present in a friendly environment where emphasis is on discussion and development of the work presented. There are awards for best paper and best developmental paper with the latter being for ECRs and PhD students.

DEAS Special Session

The DEAS special session at CADE, follows on from the special session at CADE 2021, and will focus on the relation between DEAS and the four themes of the conference (resilience, sustainability, responsibility and identity) outside of manufacturing.

We are particularly interested in extended abstracts or full papers (6 pages) that explore how DEAS can or have been used:
	To improve resilience,
	To ensure sustainability,
	The changing responsibilities when delivering DEAS,
	The impact of trust and privacy in delivering DEAS that require personal data (e.g., in transportation and mobility),
	Case studies of the use of DEAS outside manufacturing,
	Barriers and opportunities for DEAS outside manufacturing,
	How DEAS use data to improve outcomes for customers whilst maintaining privacy.

Stay safe
