Organized by the Media Industries Scholarly Interest Group of the Society for Cinema and Media Studies (SCMS)

With the launch of several new streaming platforms in 2020, changes in distribution have been on the minds of scholars and consumers alike. Following the recent publication ‘Digital Media Distribution: Portals, Platforms, Pipelines’ (NYU Press, 2021), editors Paul McDonald, Courtney Brannon Donoghue, and Tim Havens will introduce their timely collection and are joined by contributors Virginia Crisp, Dan Herbert, Jade Miller, and Sriram Mohan.
