Job Description
Are you a communications expert who thrives on creating and managing outstanding engagement strategies in science and healthcare? Do you have a track record of developing professional working relationships with a wide range of people both inside and outside your organisation? Are you as comfortable briefing senior academics and clinicians as you are speaking to members of the public about science and health topics? If so, Genomics England would like to hear from you.
We're looking for a key member of our communications and engagement team at Genomics England, who will be supporting and communicating some of the most exciting, cutting-edge medical developments. You'll be quick at understanding how to bring people on board with the objectives and goals of our company, but always with an empathetic and listening ear for understanding others' perspectives - and be good at reflecting and feeding those views back into Genomics England's work.
With an eye for the detail as well as the bigger picture, you'll be working right at the heart of unique projects that combine the very best in research and clinical expertise that could revolutionise the way healthcare is delivered both in the UK and around the world. And you'll help us get to grips with, and navigate through, some of the tricky ethical and societal challenges that go with it. You'll use all of the knowledge and skills you've learnt so far (and add to these) to gather insights, build partnerships and communicate effectively to ensure that everyone benefits from genomic medicine.

Salary
Up to c£55k depending on skills and experience

We're now accelerating our impact, working with the NHS to further develop and embed genomic healthcare and research in Britain. Our next chapter involves working with patients, doctors, scientists, government and industry to improve genomic testing, and help researchers access the health data and technology they need to make new medical discoveries and create more effective, targeted medicines for everybody.
