Hello,
Since updating to Relion4, it seems to be more computational constraints on Bayesian polishing. Using a workstation with 64 cpus and 40 GB RAM we used to be able to polish with 20 mpis and 2 threads per mpi. Now, using similarly sized datasets, I get an error if I try to go above 8 mpi. Using 'top' it doesn't seem as if I should be computationally limited, half the memory is free. We have seen this behavior in different workstations within the lab with different datasets. Any insights?
Thanks,
Eric Gibbs
Here is the error, in the past this has been thrown when memory is exhausted.
