The Pandemic has impacted the entire world.

Nothing is the same as it once was. This gives us the opportunity
to assess how things were and how things need to be.

Education is something we all have in common. Learning about the
world and each other is normal practice.

Now we look at the classifications that try to describe so many;
‘Black’ represents a multitude of global identities, cultures,
and heritage. Here, with BlackPoppyRose & BlackRose of
Remembrance, we aim to explore these narratives through Education
and The Arts.

When looking through History there are many uncomfortable events
that continue to repeat themselves To. This. Day.

We are now exploring history behind the history, to show how all
history is connected.

With that being said, we have been quite low key whilst working
in the background on some amazing projects and initiatives.

This documentary remembers the first African American armoured
unit to enter combat in WW2. They were the 761st Tank Battalion,
known as the Black Panthers and they proved more than capable of
living up to their motto of ‘Come Out Fighting’.

Through dramatic reconstruction, interviews with the veterans and
their families, Black Panthers of WW2 tells the incredible hidden
story of the brave men who fought in this little-known tank
battalion, revealing how they had to fight not only the enemy
abroad, but also at home. In America they battled against the
racist Jim Crow laws, fought to be heard amongst a sea of white
generals and trained in an era of segregation which saw Nazi
prisoners of war have more rights than they did.

Campaigns & Events

BlackPoppyRose will be launching a variety of events,
presentations and courses around a history that has been
under-narrated, in the coming months. We intend to share our rich
histories, sacred memorabilia and important legacies with you,
that we have been collating, preserving and showcasing for the
past 11 years, to build a better future.

Ahead of then, we will be launching 2 Campaigns on 25th November
2021 via a LIVE event. Tickets and further information will be
available via our website from 15th November - after Remembrance
Sunday.
