Virtual Visiting Research Fellowships (VVRF) in the School of Modern languages, Newcastle University (from 2022/23)
As part of its commitment to nurturing international research collaboration, the School of Modern Languages<https://www.ncl.ac.uk/sml/> at Newcastle University is inviting applications for its new Virtual Visiting Research Fellowships programme. The scheme, which is supported by Newcastle University's Humanities Research Institute (NUHRI)<https://www.ncl.ac.uk/nuhri/>, aims to attract academics from non-UK countries to develop or extend collaborations with existing staff and – where appropriate – the research institutes, centres, or groups<https://www.ncl.ac.uk/hss/research/research-bases/> of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences<https://www.ncl.ac.uk/hss/about/>.
In line with the values set out in our Vision and Strategy<https://www.ncl.ac.uk/media/wwwnclacuk/whoweare/files/vision-and-strategy.pdf>, we are particularly interested in establishing and enhancing sustainable and inclusive partnerships with academics whose work would help realise our goals to foster equality, diversity and inclusion, to enrich both academic research and wider society, and to create more equitable societies.
The scheme has been introduced in the context of Covid-19 to support international collaboration regardless of restrictions on international travel.
