SUSTAINABLE ARCHITECTURE(S) - HUMANE CITIES
https://architecturemps.com/bangalore/
This conference brings together experts on social policy and public health with architects, urban designers and human geography. It examines the city from various standpoints and seeks to broaden our understanding of how the built environment ties into related but separated issues of public and environmental wellbeing such as social structures, community networks, political representation and, crucially right now in India, public health.
The event, entitled, Sustainable Architecture(s) - Humane Cities is hosted by Dayananda Sagar Institutions in Bangalore, India. Its starting point is the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals that include the goal of “Making cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable”.
The conference is interested in all these questions and, as a result, seeks contributions from multiple related fields. While it is hosted in India and interested in issues that relate to the Global South, it is also expressly international and seeks input from diverse locations and scenarios.
DATES: March 23-25, 2022
ABSTRACTS: Oct 30, 2021 (Round One)
LOCATION: Virtual / Bangalore, India
WEBSITE: https://architecturemps.com/bangalore/
This event is organized by Dayananda Sagar Institutions with UCL Press leading on publications. Coordination support from Amps.
